Hi RAG Members,

A couple things for you: 

First: I’ve included my ride log for the Yosemite Trip this last weekend (Go... [doc]) or (Go... [pdf]).  It was a great ride worthy of a much better write up than I’ve done, but then you’d have had to been there to really appreciate it.  I did.

The second thing:  There’s a RAG ride planned for this weekend (July 3rd). I’ve been asked to plan and lead the ride.  We will be going to the Bakersfield Harley Shop by way of I-178.  Let’s plan to meet at the 76 station in Inyokern between 0800 and 0830. I’ll brief the ride at 0815 and we’ll depart.  We will gas up at the Shell station just before we get to the shop in Bakersfield.  After we’re ready to leave the shop, we’ll head north to Woody and then Glenville on I-155 where we will stop for lunch.  From there we’ll head over Alta Vista and down into Wofford Heights and top off at the Shell station in Lake Isabella.  From there we’ll head back east on I-178 home.  We should be back by 1700 at the latest, probably earlier.  If you wouldn’t mind, I’d appreciate a reply email if you are planning to go, so I can get an idea who and how many to expect.   If you’ve got hydro gear, I’d suggest bringing it, extra water and sun block. 

To view the ride plans go to the Harley website.  Click on the Experience tab, then Ride Planner.  Click on Launch Ride Planner.  When the ride planner loads, in the upper right corner, click on Sign In.  On the next screen insert lystrup@verizon.net for user and roadking105 for password.  Then in the upper right corner, 23 Saved Roads will appear, click on 23 Saved Roads and on the next screen select

Bakersfield Harley from RC on 178 to view the route west and Bakersfield Harley to Woody, Glenville-155 Alta Sierra to Ridgecrest to view the route back east.

Great place to catch up with fellow riders at the end of a work week and to plan impromptu pick-up rides for the weekend. The more the merrier!

AVHOG Chapter Meeting – 09:00 at the Knights of Columbus 719 W. Avenue M Lancaster, CA.

All interested meet at Jack-in-the-Box, Ridgecrest, CA at 07:00. Bikes roll out at 07:15. Keep an eye out for Silk at the Mojave Chevron! The meeting date has been moved to July 11...due to the 4th of July.

Peggy Sue's 50's Diner is an original roadside Diner 10 miles north of Barstow on the I-15 Fwy at the Ghost Town Rd. exit halfway between Southern California and Las Vegas.
