Our destination -- The Keene Store Cafe
near the intersection of the Ole Tehachapi-Bakersfield road and HWY 58

Judy says there's a bit of the nip in the late summer morning air!

We've already ridden thru Tehachapi and are on the
Ole Road from Tehachapi-to-Bakersfield that runs
high in the mountains south of HWY 58.

The rest of us decided to ride home via
the Caliente-to-Bodfish low road along the river
Rodeo grounds

There are several working ranches in the area.

I'm pointing out the Ole Breckenridge-to-Bakersfield Road from
the Caliente-Bodfish road to Bakersfield...47 miles to the west.
It's actually a narrow paved firebreak...and a great ride.
