Lots of anticipation for a wonderful ride to Yosemite!
Tioga Pass (elevation 9,943 feet) just opened the previous Saturday!
This is Kelly and Dennis...with daughter-in-law Jennifer and son Brice!...
Family...so very welcome!...
That's Jennifer and Brice's blue Corvette in the distance!...
Thanks Barb and Stan!...
Barb and Stan brought yummy donuts to see us off!...
They're sitting on Wade's bike rack for the taking!
Barb and Stan brought their
"We're-the-center-of-the-Universe" pooches too!
And here I thought "entanglement" was merely a new theory in physics!... ;)

And the finger pointing never ends.
Gassing up at Bishop Shell...just north of the main drag
..

Do you suppose Billee and Bland choreographed this exit?...

This is the Lake Crowley overlook where Drifty picked up
his rear tire fence staple...and eventual flat
on our recent Mobile Station lunch ride
June Lake Loop
The quaint little town of June Lake

Lunch time at the Mobile Station restaurant
An excellent view of Mono Lake and the black and white islands

Ah...the food pics....

Debbie, Tracy, Dennis and Debby chowing down
Very welcome joining us are Vicki and Paul from Antelope Valley HOG

Amy and Scott...have a seat in the warm sun.
We'll be suiting up shortly for the 9,943 foot Tioga Pass summit.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....
This what it looks like when you jump someone with an eating picture!... ;)

Billee and Bland loving the moment

Kelly sees to it that she and Dennis are out and about every
chance they get: formula off road hill climbing, dirt biking, Harleys....
And they skillfully build and maintain all their own equipment...!

Water everywhere!...
And a bit of ice and snow t' boot

Even an artist setting up to abstract the moments....

Paula and Ben
Amy and Scott
Wouldn't you know it? So...we left the Mobile Station after lunch
for Tioga summit and the entrance to Yosemite Park.
Only Billee and Bland didn't depart with us.
Bland rode Billee's Fat Boy...because his ongoing "project bike"
for years now wasn't on the road AGAIN.
Bland flooded Billee's Fat Boy at the Mobile Station.
It all relates to Bland gassing up...having a gas cap issue...flooding the carb...
removing the carb...leaving the air breather off...etc.
We all waited just inside the park...for 45 minutes or so...
before Billee and Bland finally caught up.
But no one complained. It was just gorgeous at the rest stop!

Okay! What the heck are y' all looking at up there?

Speaking of colors....

You'll never find a more pleasant couple than Kelly and Dennis....

Gorgeous Harley colors....

Kelly and a quiet candid moment...
sort of makes a guy wish he were still painting!...

So there you two are!...

We're so happy Vicki and Paul joined us from AVHOG!...
We enjoy sharing our Yosemite ride with new friends.

The back side of Half Dome in the distance

Later in the season...like the next week...with a 20X telephoto lens...
you can see individual hikers climbing the cable ladder to the top of Half Dome

Dwight has spent all four seasons in Yosemite...
back in the "good ole days":
cutting hair from his barber shop in the valley...rock climbing...
and we suppose being "frisky" with every opportunity!...

Now here's a handsome group of bikers!
(What's Big Ben standing on? Or is he?)

Oh sure! Billee and Bland waiting on us!...

Near the entrance to the Yosemite Valley...
where HWY120 from Lee Vining and HWY41 to Oakhurst meet.

Half Dome...Bridal Veil Falls...and Vernal Falls in the distance....

What can I say? It's my job as the male chauvinist RAG webmaster!...

But...the view doesn't get any better than this for me....

The RAG isn't restricted to male chauvinists....

Hey...we're in Oakhurst already!
Must be dinner time....

You know...you can't explain this picture to a 20-something-year-old...
so don't even bother.
As my mom use to repeat: "Youth is wasted on the young!"

Well...maybe Kim and Jeff in the lead here are beginning to figure out...
life and love...betwix their 20s and 50s after all....
For sure...behind Kim and Jeff ...Kelly and Dennis have it together!...

We had the back room to ourselves...with excellent service t' boot!...

This pic is a bit "ethereal" (i. e., out of focus)...
but it is the picture of happiness!...
Yet to come...are pictures from pool-side day-one-of-three: good conversation...
and sharing bottles of wine.... :~)
