Eleven
or so bikes head to Big Bear in the San Bernardino mountains. We would split into three groups on the way home: One headed for the festivities at The Shop in Lancaster, another group headed to the B. A. D. Ride in Long Beach... and a third headed home via Lake Arrowhead. |

Maybe
it's Crestline...but here we're about to ride down one heck-of-a steep dropoff in HWY 138. We're not going straight ahead...but will veer off to the left once we enter that shaded area across the intersection. What use to be really scary was coming the opposite direction...in the "ole days"...when they had a stop sign at the top of that terribly steep hill at the intersection. A friend in those ole days dropped her bike there. |
