HOG Club Meeting (9 AM) at Sandy's Two Sisters Restaurant, 6601 Inyokern Road, Inyokern, CA. Come earlier if you want breakfast.

For those who have not renewed their membership, membership renewals are due now. $18 for the year. Renewal forms will be available at the meeting. Please bring your national HOG membership card for verification.

Services for Mike Clark: meet at Cross Roads Church at China Lake Blvd. and French at 11 AM, 9 March.

Cruise Night, 7 PM, at Nickoletti's Expresso Cafe, 890 N. China Lake Blvd, next to the old City Books, southeast corner of China Lake Blvd and Drummond.

Beatty, NV overnight ride rescheduled for 23..24 March (see details below)!

update 3/14/02, Thursday, 10:30 PM:
BRAND NEW RIDE: Saturday, 16 March, to the grand opening of Larry Miller's (member of the Lancaster HOG Activity Group) restaurant, Uncle Sam's or American Grill, on Sierra Highway in Lancaster. Leave Jack-in-the-Box restaurant at the Wal-Mart parking lot 10 AM.

The Beatty ride will be an over night ride on the 23..24 March. Leave R/C EastRidge Mini-mart/Chevron Station at 9 AM, Saturday, 3/23/02.    This time...Bland won't bother to reserve a bank of rooms. Each individual must call and make their own reservations.

Itinerary:   Leave R/C EastRidge Mini-mart/Chevron Station at 9 AM, Saturday, 3/23/02.   Lunch at Furnace Creek, Death Valley.   Mileage from R/C to Stove Pipe Wells (gas)-- 100 miles. Mileage from Trona to Furnace Creek (gas)-- approx. 110 miles.    Saturday PM, from Beatty to Rhyolite Ghost Town, NV (wine, cheese, sunset, good friends) and back to Beatty.   

Update 3/14/02 Thursday PM (continued):
Return Sunday, 3/24/02, via HWY 267 and Scotty's Castle and Stove Pipe Wells (gas).   Maybe return via Panamint Springs and HWY 190 to Olanchia (gas) and home before dark..

If you decide to take the Scotty's Castle tour and then enter Death Valley National Park from Scotty's Castle, the following are the Fee's I've found on the Web: Vehicle (cars, trks, vans): $10 per vehicle Motor Cycle: $5/rider

There is a local's 1 year passport for $20 which allows unlimited access to the park. Scotty Castle Tour: $8 regular, Senior (<62) is $4 Tour lasts 50mins. Could not find any details on what time the tours start...on the hour or half hour.
