Subject: Scott Key and Greetings!
Judy and Don:
Thanks you for your kind email. When I opened your message this morning,
John immediately called Scott. He was in NY with his family. He is just
such a nice person; we had no idea his brother was that ill. Scotty is
the kind who carries a lot around inside and still gives his smile anyway,
you know.
John and I have been getting busier and busier, as we meet more and more
people here. - However, that is NOT why we wouldn't come Sept. 1 for the
ride. I had a prior commitment with my girlfriend (who I have known as
a sister from 1st Grade in Needles) to work on a project with her on that
same day; she lives here in Phoenix. She has time constraints so I can't
cancel. John and I have talked since early summer that we want to come
for a a weekend visit in Ridgecrest sometime - possibly in Nov. We already
want to come in the Spring for the Calvary Chapel Biker Blessing. - In
4 weeks from this weekend, we will be on our way to NYC to spend over
a week there with our son - and Cameron our grandson is also going with
us. We really look forward to it. - Then in mid Oct., we will be joining
Doug and Michelle @ Lake Havasu for a week, camping in our 5th wheel.
- So we have quite an agenda.... - already had a 1 1/2 week vacation in
Monument Valley, Colorado, and Canyon de Chelly with the kids, several
3-4 day trips to Parker and on and on....
How great you have another grandchild....... How many does that make for
both of you now? - Probably a 'passle!!" The more the better. -
John just looked outside and said, "Looks like we are getting another
monsoon..." and that may be. - Hey, Judy. Know what? With retirement
comes so many new adventures, and completely different doors open. You
guys need to know that you DON"T need a million dollars put away....
when you really enjoy what is free around you, i.e. grandkids, grownup
kids, outside beauty,.....you just don't need it. - I have been writing
our family history, which has turned into literally a volume..... and
teaching music lessons, even renewed my RN just in case I want to help
someone without charge...... Life is not spending.....life is loving and
being with the ones you love!!
Hey - no bugs in my teeth yet! But @ the first dip in the temperature,
we will head north again into the red rocks and tall monuments - and we
will think of you. - John wanted me to ask Don when he is coming thru?
- Let us know...... - Share the news with the club......
In Christ,
Charlotte
